Why do people shave? What’s that all about? What’s so wrong about having hair on a body? Women (in the UK) shave their armpits, and their legs, as well as – heaven forbid – any hair that may appear on their face. Men have to remove natural facial hair from around their mouth, chins and cheeks.

Yes, Dirty water…Just been reading about how a few years ago, a January was the driest January for 2 million years, and how this meant there were water shortages throughout the UK come the August and September of that year.

The Great Toilet Seat Debate

Men and women are different to each other. There are a number of places that this difference causes a little friction. One is in the toilet. The difference I’m thinking about causes no end of fights, arguments and divorces. The fight boils down to whether the toilet seat should be left down or left up at the end of that toilet’s use.

The Woman with the Cross

I’ve noticed this weird old woman walking about. She’s sort of passed me a few times. She’s walking with a bit of a hobble, and dressed all in black. Clutched to her shoulder blade is a very large (maybe 30–40 cm high) black cross with quite ornate gold patterns on the edges. It’s like she’s cuddling it, both hands are holding it so tightly.

The Passage of Time: Time and time again I hear people discussing how fast time seems to be going. They have a whole range of theories as to why this seems to be happening, from the speeding up of the general exploding outwards that is the Universe, to end of the world alien intervention.

I hate socialising. I hate people. But, my girlfriend and I went out with friends the other night to an award ceremony (I didn’t win again, damn it). We were running late, so they met us at ours. Well, I wasn’t running late, I’m a man. It was all her fault, see? Ok, so maybe it’s partially my fault, as she normally spends her life naked and chained to the bed (except when she’s at the kitchen sink), so getting dressed to go out is something she’s not too used to.

I was first introduced to the Goldie Lookin Chain song “Your Mother’s Got A Penis” when I was listening to Zane Lowe (Radio One, of course). I think they may have done it live in the studio. I laughed out loud at what was a totally brilliant song. That was a bit embarrassing because I was on a 48 bus at the time. I immediately downloaded the track when I got home and played it to myself on many occasions, then forgot about it, as it was quite a while ago.
